Please explore my student portfolio below. You will find a short overview of the brief I was given for each assignment, along with my final submitted project.

Conrad Pisarski, NY

"You've made a great progress in class and I really appreciate your patience and willingness to do all the work. You've scored one of the highest value points for the final tests and the project combined. Congratulations! It was a pleasure to work with you."

Ferruccio Babarcich, NY

"I admire the effort that you put into this project. It is truly among the best I’ve heard and seen. I hope you enjoyed the process. Future studies will allow you to explore your creativity and learn more about interior design. Thank you for your participation in the class. Good luck in all that you do in design."

Lilia Levine, NY

"Mary, I appreciate how thoughtful and well-researched you are...I like how you are mixing vintage and antiques and other OOAK (one-of-a-kinds) into your projects to make something no one else will have {and} your budget accurately reflects a sense of these prices, which is great."

STUDENT WORK

A part of my Interior Design experience includes work from my time at The New School. The certificate program was aimed at developing an understanding of spatial and structural design through two- and three-dimensional drawing and sketching, hand drafting, and computer modelling. Throughout my 2 years, I successfully built foundational skills in interior design concepts ranging from spatial relationships and circulation to client psychology. The courses I took included: Basic Drafting and Interior Space Planning, Color Theory, Commercial and Residential Design, Interior Rendering & Perspectives, AutoCAD1, and SketchUp1. Here is a brief overview of what my learning outcomes in each course were:

Rendering & Perspectives

  • Understand & produce 2D & 3D drawings including plan, section, & elevation, 1,2, & 3 -point perspectives.

  • Represent design ideas, through clear drawing/composition, light, shadow, texture & space & use various media used by interior design professionals to depict different spatial conditions.
